On Thursday, September 17, 2020, our university hospital distributed a booklet summarizing our efforts to deal with the COVID-19 so that patients can visit the hospital with peace of mind.
The booklet was part of World Patient Safety Day, which the World Health Organization (WHO) encourages member countries and medical institutions around the world to participate in. Doctors and staff wearing orange medical robes, which are the theme color of the event, put the booklets, which summarized the hospital’s efforts to combat the new coronavirus, into eco-bags and handed them to visitors to the hospital, expressing their gratitude for the support of the people of the prefecture.
World Patient Safety Day was initiated by the WHO in 2019 to raise awareness to promote patient safety. The aim is to raise awareness of patient safety and medical safety promotion efforts around the world simultaneously, and to draw the attention of many relevant person, including healthcare providers, patients and their families, and the public.
Our hospital will continue to work hard to achieve safe medical care, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation in many efforts.
