President Shimada visited University of Malaysia Perlis and Prince of Songkla University.

　From 25^th until 27^th of June, President Shimada, Professor Kumada (Dean of Faculty of Engineering), Professor Mao (Director of Center for International Education and Exchange) and Ms. Ishii (Head of Office of International Affairs) visited two partner universities, University of Malaysia Perlis (Malaysia) and Prince of Songkla University (Thailand).
　At University of Malaysia Perlis, the delegation visited Center of Excellence on Sensor Research. Associate Professor LATIFAH MUNIRAH KAMARUDIN and Dr YUZAIRI BIN ABDUL RAHIM, graduates of University of Yamanashi, demonstrated their excellent research achievements in the field of sensor fusion and IOT. The delegation paid a courtesy call to Director of Board Dr.REZUWAN KAMARUDDIN and Vice Chancellor Dr R BADLISHAH AHMAD, and discussed about the possibility of establishing joint research centers and cooperative educational program.
  During visiting Prince of Songkla University, the delegation paid a courtesy call to President Dr. NIWAT KEAWPRADUB and visited Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Engineering and Faculty of Management, exchanged opinions with representatives and researchers regarding future collaborations.
  There are 5 graduates of University of Yamanashi at University of Malaysia Perlis and 2 graduates at Prince of Songkla University. Thanks to the helps from the alumni,  the collaborations with the two universities are very successful in the field of student exchange and joint research recently. This visiting further strengthened the partnership with the two universities.
