Faculty of Engineering holds “Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research WEEK!”

　On August 8-10,2022, the Faculty of Engineering held the Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research WEEK!
　The event is held for faculty members to coincide with the start of the JSPS Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research program application process, with the aim of increasing the KAKENHI adoption rate in the Faculty of Engineering. ※1
　At the event, faculty members with abundant experience in obtaining the Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research served as lecturers, introducing key points for writing Grants-in-Aid applications and strategies for obtaining the Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research.
　On the first day, Masashi Suzuki, Assistant Professor of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, gave a lecture titled “For young researchers – how to decide on a theme and come up with ideas”.
　At the second day, Hiromitsu Nishizaki, Professor of the Department of Mechatronics, gave a lecture titled “The Road to adoption as the Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research B”.
　Tadashi Toyama, Professor of the Civil and Environmental Engineering, gave a lectue titled “Step-up from the Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research C to B “on the third day,
　During the Q&A session that followed each lecture, participants asked many questions about how to decide on a theme, tips for writing an application, and preparations for applying for a Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research.
