Certificate of Appreciation for the University of Yamanashi Omura Satoshi Memorial Fund presented to Dr. Satoshi Omura

　On Monday,July 11,2022, We presented a certificate of appreciation to Dr. Satoshi Omura for his generous donation to the “University of Yamanashi Satoshi Omura Memorial Fund.”
　His donation will be used for the purpose of the “University of Yamanashi Satoshi Omura Memorial Fund” to promote the development of the next generation of young researchers who will follow in Dr. Omura’s footsteps.
　Dr. Omura also donated a rare photo taken in 1976 of Dr. Ernst B. Chain (discoverer of penicillin and winner of the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine with Alexander Fleming) during his visit to Japan.
　This photo can be seen in the exhibition space of the “Satoshi Omura Museum” at the University of Yamanashi Kofu Campus.
