President Shinji Shimada Visited Taiwan.
From November 1st to 3rd, President Shinji Shimada, Vice-President Masayuki Takeda, Prof. Hiroyuki Uchida, the Director of the Center for Clean Energy Research Center, Prof. Xiaoyang Mao, the Director of the Center for International Education and Exchange and Ms. Yoshimi Ishii, the Director of International Planning Office visited Taiwan at the invitation of Ministry of Education Taiwan, for promoting international exchanges between University of Yamanashi and the universities and research institutions of Taiwan.
The delegate visited Taipei Veterans General Hospital and National Yang-Ming University on the first day, November 1st, National Taiwan University and Yuan Ze University on the following day, and National Taiwan University of Science and Technology on the third day.
At the each site, the representatives of University of Yamanashi and the host university introduced their own universities and discussed about the possibility of student exchanges and research collaborations. The delegate from University of Yamanashi also visited affiliated hospitals and research institutions.
On the luncheon meeting hosted by the Ministry of Education Taiwan, the delegate exchanged opinions on potential future cooperation with Counselor Guanchao Huang of the Ministry of Education and the representatives from Fu Jen Catholic University and Taipei Medical University.
