Memorandum of Understanding was signed with University of Ljubljana, Slovenia.

On September 18^th, A signing ceremony for the Memorandum of Understanding Between University Of Ljubljana and University Of Yamanashi was held at University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. Besides both presidents, President Ivan Svetlik from University of Ljubljana and President Shinji Shimada, Vice-President Martin Copic and Prof. Marin Berovic from University of Ljubljana, Vice-President Masaru Iwasaki, Prof. Atsuhito Nakao, Dean of Faculty of Medicine, and Prof. Xiaoyang Mao, the Director of the Center for International Education and Exchange, and Ms Yishii, the Director of International Planning Office from University of Yamanashi, attended the ceremony.

The MOU will promote academic exchange including joint research and student exchange mainly in Faculty of Medicine and y Faculty of Life and Environmental Sciences.

After the ceremony, the delegate from University of Yamanashi visited the Faculty of Health Science and the Clinic Center. On the following day, they also visited Biotechnical Faculty and Wine Research Center, and exchanged opinions on further cooperation with the researchers from University of Ljubljana.

On their visit to the Japanese Embassy in Slovenia on September 19^th, Mr. Keiji Fukuda, the Ambassador,  kindly showed his intention to offer the support for promoting the exchange activities between University of Yamanashi and University of Ljubljana, which will further push the development  of our partnership with the University of Slovenia.
