Exchange Agreement was concluded with Pathein University
The President Nyunt Phay and the delegate from Pathein University, Myanmar, visited University of Yamanashi for the signing of the exchange agreement on September 12th, 2017.
Together with Pathein University, Dr. Masayuki Hayakawa, the Vice-president/Executive Director of the University, Dr. Hideki Yamamura, Associate Professor, and Dr. Misa Otoguro, Assistant Professor, have been conducting joint research, therefore, this agreement will encourage to promote further academic exchange including further joint research and student exchange in the interdisciplinary field of Medicine, Engineering and Agricultural Sciences, which the University boasts of.
On the same day, the delegate from Pathein University had a meeting with the researchers from Faculty of Life and Environmental Sciences after the tour of the Institution of Enology and Viticulture. On the following day, the delegate visited the research laboratories of Faculty of Life and Environmental Sciences, Interdisciplinary Centre for River Basin Environment, Advanced Biotechnology Center and G-Philos, the Center for International Education and Exchange.
