Center for the International Education and Exchange held a Summer Event to Promote Inter-cultural Understanding

 On July 13th, 2016, Center for the International Education and Exchange held the third event introducing the traditional clothes and culture of various countries.

 The concept of the event is to experience different cultures through wearing coloful traditional costumes. Around 50 students, staffs and faculty members showed up with the dress of Malaysia, China, Vietnam, Myanmar, Sri Lanka and Japan, and shared their background, tradition and culture.

 In the evening, the center organized a Japanese summer seasonal event. Students from Hangzhou Dianzi University, China, who areerolled in the short Japanese and Japanese culture program also participanted the event with other foreign and Japanese students.

 Moreover, students and staffs who came to the international common space “G-Philos” on Kofu campus enjoyed Tanabata (Traditional Japanese seasonal event at which people write own wishes on colorful paper strips and decorate it on bamboo leaves).
