The award ceremony was held at International Conference Center of WASEDA university on May 13th, 2018.

The title of the presentation was “Water inside electrolyte membrane of running fuel cell analyzed by coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering”.

Nishiyama measured the distribution of water inside the electrolyte membrane of a polymer electrolyte fuel cell at an extremely-high space/time resolution. The award was given for the superior academic values, the direct contributions to the industry, as well as for the excellent answers to the questions posed after the presentation.

Nishiyama says “It is such an honor to have received this wonderful award. With this honor in mind, I will keep researching hard for further accomplishments.
