As of Feb. 2017, 33 Malaysian students are enrolled in University of Yamanashi and more than 100 Malaysian alumni are active in many fields in Malaysia now.

Especially in UniMAP (University Malaysia Perlis), 4 alumni of our university are working as academic staff. On Dec. 20th 2016, Professor Xiaoyan Mao the Director of the Center for International Education and Exchange, and Associate professor Tetsuya Esaki visited UniMap and held a successful meeting with the alumni and the deans of related colleges about the future collaborations.

On Dec. 18th and 20th, we also had reunion with Malaysian alumni in Kuala Lumpur and Alor Setar (capital of Kedah, Malaysia), respectively. 20 alumni attended this reunion and were pleased to meet old friends and enjoyed sharing good memories in the University of Yamanashi. Through the reunion, the ties between the alumni and the university are further strengthened.

University of Yamanashi are constructing the network of international alumni for further promoting international exchanges and cooperations. This is a part of our mid-term plan attracting motivated students from various countries and building an international campus where all students can study together and collaborate well regardless of the difference in cultural and language.
