General Description of the Department and the
Course
In the area of community health nursing, we aims to promote public health, people living in the community to improve the health, from children to seniors. This area captures a wide range, including school health and nursing field. We provide the educational programs which focus on providing nursing care for residents with various levels of health status in the community.
In the area of psychiatric and mental health nursing, the programs focus on acquiring knowledge and skills in order to understand characteristic of individuals with mentally ill and their families, prevention and promotion in mental health.
In the area of gerontological and community-based nursing, the program focuses on acquiring knowledge and skills in order to understand characteristic of the elderly and individuals who need community-based nursing and provide nursing care for them and their family members.
In the area of health science, we cover fundamental health issues in the various situations of life, and environmental issues including their causes. We then provide education that enable students to obtain a better understanding of these issues and analyze those using fundamental knowledge of epidemiology and statistics.
