Go for it, gPhysician-scientisth!

gGood basic researcher can be a competent clinician.h It is the word of ancestors that even has a nostalgic ring to us. Present state of young doctors express little or no interest in basic research because of specialist counts makes field of medicine nearing critical status. It is our duty to initiate the importance of basic research utility in clinical practice into young clinicians and medics. It is not easy to bring up decent physician scientist. But there is no doubt such doctors is prime requirement in Japan now. An ideal physician-scientist is the person who can apply the lessons learned from patients at the bedside for the basic research at the bench and return his or her fruits to patients.
