Summary
The Department of Mechanical System Engineering consists of three
courses: Mechanical Science and Engineering, Mechanical Production
Engineering and System Design Engineering. Machanical Science and
Engineering covers such subjects as numerical mechanics, transfer
and control of thermal energy, digital measurement, biomechanics,
lasers and optics, quantum engineering and space science. Mechanical
Production Engineering includes tribology, new, material, ultraprecision
machining and ultra-fine processing technology System Design Engineering
is concerned with mechatronics, controls, information machine and
CAD.
In our department, centering on the technical field of mechanical
and precision engineering, our research and education activities
are involved in new material, nanoscale technology, and mechatronics
which combines electrics and information engineering as well as
welfare engineering.
Our department aims at educating students towards imaginative and
integrative power of various disciplines, an ability to set and
solve problems creatively and work internationally. Also we aim
to develop discerning and original students with a wide application
ability etc. in order to cope with the recent rapid development
and highly advanced science and technology.
Our department has attracted students from a number of universities
in Japan and has had many overseas students. Our graduates are leading
powers in various industry fields.
