■Division of Medical and Engineering Science
Division of Engineering / Natural,Biotic and Social Environment Engineering

Summary

In this division, our purpose is to establish a scientific foundation to construct a safe and sustainable society, which is in harmony with the environment, by the means of theoretical and methodological educational research activities that are applicable to broader area of social field without staying in the category of conventional engineering technology. As one of educational purposes, we train professionals who support the creation of infrastructures to meet the needs of new times by acquiring professional techniques in the engineering field related to the construction, design, measurement, planning, management, and conservation for an object of an environmental society creation (infrastructures and srounding environments). As the other purpose, we train professionals who possess abilities to clarify sustainable society conditions by considering principal issues related to creation of mutual society between human and nature and between human and human from various aspects, also who master the social prediction and evaluation methods applicable for problem solutions. Our purpose of program will be achieved through the following three educational researches.
Civil and Environmental Engineering: Fundamental research and development of technology related to the construction and conservation of infrastructures necessary to develop a safe and sustainable society, which is in harmony with the environment
Environment Technology and Biotechnology: Development of advanced technology related to the natural function development by combining several engineering fields
Ecosocial Evaluation: Development of outcome prediction and evaluation method of policy, measure, and plan, that contribute for an achievement of sustainable society.
