Summary

Our philosophy in the division of Nursing and Health Science is to train professionals who can contribute for the development of nursing sciences by endeavoring to develop and construct the nursing Intervention, the research methodology, and the educational activities. Nursing and Health Science focuses on treatment of illness, primary prevention and health promotion for children, youths, adults, and the elderly by human physical, psychological, and social aspects.
The program is based on interdisciplinary courses of Nursing Science, Medical Science, Engineering Science, and Educational Human Science,and consists of advanced subjects (Bioethics, Environmental Psychology, Fundamental Nursing Science, Clinical Nursing, Maternal and Child Health Nursing, Family Nursing, Health Science, Health Behavioral Science, Home Health Science, Health Education, Health Kinetics, Barrier Free Design, and Universal Design), Special Seminar, and Special Research. In each advanced subject, students will obtain scientific knowledge to understand human being. In the seminar, students will leam theoretical and scientific knowedge of researches in various descipline and search for research methodolgy of Nursing and Health Science. In the research, students will construct theory to support the health, autonomy, and self- realization of subjects (patients) in various health status, to construct an original research methodology and to develop the knowledge base for nursing practice.
