The purpose of the visit is to provide the students with wider views and perspectives through cultural exchange activities with foreign students.

On 16 January, following the courtesy call to President Shimada, the delegate visited university library and attended Judo lesson. A welcome party, hosted by President Shimada, was held in the evening and the students from University of Yamanashi entertained their guests with various performances. On 19 January, the delegate watched the demonstration from the robotics research lab, participated Japanese language lesson, experienced Tofu making and visited Fuel Cell Nanomaterials Center. Finally the student attended the workshop, at which the students from both University of Malaya and University of Yamanashi discussed and made presentation on “the future technology connecting Asia”.

Even in the coldest winter season, the students from University of Malaya enjoyed cultural exchange and asked constructive questions in the laboratories and centers, which stimulated our students and academic staffs for enthusiastic effort toward learning and research.

The exchange activities will be broadcasted by Radio Televisyen Malaysia in March this year.
